Im a beginner and have many hours into working with Walk With Me but my commitment remains stong.  Progress is slow but there is progress.

I am confused about the harp/tongue positon you would suggest for Second Chorus.  In the related video you have us cover 4 holes and move the tongue to covere 2,3,4 to play the 1 blow and draw.  On an earlier video you discussied moving the mouth to the far left end of the harp to play 1,2,3.  Im sure there are alterenate ways to play certain phrases based on the context of the music, but which do you recommend for the second chorus and why?

For example to play the D (1 draw) to star the second chorus do I have my mouth over 1-4 or to the left side of the harp?

Gary Knopp, committed (or soon will be committed) harp player.....

Welcome to the site Gary.

Welcome to the site Gary. Yes, you're correct, it is context-driven. In Chorus 2 you're generally staying on the low end of the harmonica, so you'll cover three holes with your mouth (1 2 3) and block 2 and 3 with your tongue. When playing hole 2 you'll block hole 1 to the left. So, you are moving a bit when tongue switching. There will be times you'll need the speed and will have your lips over two holes (1 2) and just move your tongue to the left for to play hole 2 and to the right for hole 1, but it's generally more common to play over three holes, especially until your tone is good (larger embouchure is better). Reminder... a light touch is key. Best wishes on this.
