Hi Fellow Harpsters, I am practicing Walk With Me.  I take it the whole song is meant to be tongue blocked ?  I struggle with the move from three hole to four hole with tongue block.  I can play the whole song reasonably well with single note pursed lips.  Just keep moving from three to four and back  with toungue block until it is smooth transition ?  thank you, Kevin

Walk with me all tongue block ?

Hi Kevin,

If you check out David's Level 1 tuition videos, you'll see that all of 'Walk With Me' is taught using tongue blocking - no puckering.

There is an exercise in Level 1 materials which may help with the move from 3 draw to 4 blow and back:

Exercise 1.6 in Solo Harmonica Study 1

Otherwise it's just a question of repeating the move lots of times until it feels right. I tend to move the harmonica rather than my head when moving from holes 3 to 4

Not sure how long you've been on 'Walk With Me' but I started learning towards the end of 2022 and am almost ready to submit it. I'm desperate to move on to higher levels!

Good Luck,

Mark.
