Hi David.

I remember to hear you to say you're not a big fan of volume controls, Am I right?

I ask you this, because I am setting a mic petition and I want you're opinion on that.

I want a shire brown but I don't know if a volume control near the cable attachment will interfere in my playing.

Thanks in advance.

Answer

Some people like it... it doesn't do anything for me except to use it as an on-off switch. I personally don't use one... we are our own volume control.
