Hi

Are you SURE it is the element and not the transformer, switch, wiring, connector, or cable? The elements do fail but rarely. However the current replacement element available from Shure (R45) is not as good, nor is the transformer, as what came in your mic. Best to buy another vintage 545 or PE54 and combine the parts to make one good mic.

If you're not sure how to go about it I can certainly handle the diagnosis and/repair for you.

Cheers

/Greg
