I have been given a blackstar amp .

Hello arsenalcp114. I will answer for Skip, this is more my territory (how to make new amps sound better for harp). You have one tube that can be swapped here... the 12AX7 preamp tube. I recommend your purchase two tubes to experiment with... a 12AT7 and a 12AY7. If you only want to purchase one, I would say the 12AY would be the best bet. Report back on how you like the sound.
