Hi there!

I recently order the seydel version of the UST.

Do you think the old one was better?

Thank you so much.

Best regards.

Hi Emanuel. Good to hear from

Hi Emanuel. Good to hear from you.

I have not had the opportunity to bench test the "new" Sjoberg UST tool--now sold through Seydel. My two current favorite sizing (aka embossing, burnishing) tools are the original Sjoberg UST and Richard Sleigh's burnishing tool.

Hello Harp Techs, Yesterday,

Hello Harp Techs,

Yesterday, I received a greatly anticipated package from Richard Sleigh. Here is a "look-see" photo of the upgraded tool set offered by Master harmonica customizer and tool builder, Richard Sleigh. Including:

  • Stainless Steel Reed Shaper Tool

  • Reed Wrench/Reed Support Tool

  • Burnishing Tool (aka embossing, sizing)

  • Draw Scrapper Tool

I recently relocated my Harpsmith shop from San Jose to Monterey, CA (can you blame me ;o), so my bench is still boxed up. My first order of business would be to try out the upgraded set of RS tools, then submit to you all my findings in the next segment of Taken It To the Bench.

Your Harpsmith, Kinya
