Recording with just Voice Recorder

Dave,

Sorry, I still don't quite understand. ALL I have is just one piece of equipment my IPHONE with Voice Memo. Now how can I use my iPhone and play your backing track and at the same time play my harmonica into the Voice Memo for recording. Don't see how you can do both at same time with one device(iPhone). Am I missing something here, I must need another piece of equipment?

I'm sorry Jayatee72, I now

I'm sorry Jayatee72, I now fully understand what you're saying. I'm not aware of a way to do it with just a phone. There may be a recording app that will allow you to import and record on top of a backing track, so some research may be smart. You can submit material to me with just you playing into your memo app, but if you want to participate in the official LOA program (testing process), you will need to find a way to record to a backing track. Maybe when it comes time to record, you can ask a family member or friend to play the backing track on their phone or computer so you can record yourself playing on your voice memo app.

Thx David.....I'm sorry if I

Thx David.....I'm sorry if I make it so confusing for you. But I guess everyone assumes you have a separate computer these days. But like you say, I need to find someone with a separate computer to record backing track first, then make a complete recording with melody and accompanyment with my iPhone using voice memo. Thx David for the help!

No worries Jayatee72. All you

No worries Jayatee72. All you need is someone to play, on any device, the backing track that's on the website. You can have two simultaneous logins at BluesHarmonica.com, so you log them in and have them hit play on the jam track, from the lesson page that you're studying, and you hit record on your voice memo app to capture both you and the backing track. Best wishes experimenting with this. Keep in mind that if you want my feedback now, you don't have to do that... just record what you want me to hear and send it in.
