So great site and forum.

However I am stymied about how to import mp3 files

into the ASD app on my phone.

I am using an  iPhone 11 with 14.8 software.

I use the ASD app on a regular basis, importing songs from Apple Music Library and Spotify

Question is, How do I import an MP3 so that I can slow it down?

All the very best,

Larry

PS I do not use a computer, just a phone. So far, it ha

Hope this helps

From your request I am assuming that when you import from Apple Music and Spotify you are unable to use the speed feature on ASD. I don't use either of those so can't comment but have no trouble on my iPhone 11 when importing a file from my music that is already on the phone MP3 Bottom of the ASD screen tap Import Song, it offers Music Library Photo Library and Browse  Tap the location usualy My Music, tap the file you want to import and off you go .  I would be interested to know if this is an Apple Music and Spotify issue only. As I don't use them do you get to import as MP3 files?

For John S

I use ASD often, and with both pitch and speed, looping, whatever on a very regular basis.

The single issue I am trying to resolve is

"How to import the mp3 in the lesson, into ASD"

When I click the link, a rudimentary player opens, but so far I am unable to import this into ASD.

Thanks

Larry

Here's what I do on my iPad.

Here's what I do on my iPad. Not sure if it will help.

  • Click on the mp3 link.
  • Once I'm at the mp3, click the little square with up arrow in the top right.
  • Go down the selections until I click "Save to Files."
  • Select "On My iPad."
  • Select "Amazing."
  • It then shows up in ASD under "Other Songs."

Keep clicking on folders

I'm sort of lazy when it comes to figuring out how programs actually work. (The rest of the family doesn't call me "Mr. Analog" for nothing.) Wondering whether or not the ASD import issue is related to the way downloaded files seem to find their way into ASD on my iPad. Some tunes are on the ASD page when I open it; some appear when I click on the file labeled "Other Songs," and still more appear when I'm in the file labeled "Other Songs," and click on the file labeled "Inbox." Rather than use curse words more profitably applied to my car and other inanimate objects around the house, I've trained myself to just look at all of these files when looking for a song I've downloaded to ASD on my iPad. Strangely, the ASD program on my Apple laptop has no similar problem. Everything I've downloaded is right there when I open it. (I wonder whether or not some sort of early psychological therapy would have helped folks like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. They sure seem to hate humanity when it came/comes to putting together programs that make sense to pre-computer folks like me.)

Thanks

Great bit of help, except, when I click on the mp3( and it opens and plays successfully)

there is no little square to push....only a rudimentary player bisecting my screen horizontally.

Thanks Larry

Will try a pic soon. Need a host site.

Last shot.

I import all my mp3 songs via iTunes into my iPhone 11 and have no problem with ASD speed adjustment.

Dove, the square with the

Dove, the square with the arrow is better known as the "share button." Looking at my iPhone, it's in the bottom center of a Safari page.
