I am having a heck of a time with the trill in the 6th chorus of Walk with Me. I have no trouble with the speed lick leading it into it, but I just can't seem to make that trill sound nice and not choppy. Any tips?

Watch the video "My shakes suck!" on the FAQ page... start with this. Generally speaking, most players tense up too much. Figure out if you're going to move your head, hands, or both, and stick with the one you choose. Start with the bottom note and focus on relaxing... not engaging any auxiliary muscles. Watch the video, it will help. Good luck!

Let me piggy-back an unrelated question. When we are close to sending a recording in for critique, do you want us to hold off until we play it reasonably well at full tempo? I can play all parts at full tempo, but when I do the whole song full tempo, I always mess something up.

The whole song please. You can slow the jam track down if you wish (using something like the Amazing Slow Downer).

Okay. My question was about the tempo. I am sooo close. Sounding pretty good (IMO) at about 95% speed but when I push it up to 100 it falls apart in a few places.

My answer was about tempo :-). You can slow the jam track down to what tempo is best for you when recording. If it's just 5%, give it a couple more weeks, you'll get it!
