TORX vs M1.6 POZI Drive Fasteners
Heads up Everyone, new Hohner Special 20 harmonicas now use six lobe TORX (T7) fasteners (read:screws) for both Cover Plates and Reed Plates. I suspect, this will be the case for the entire product line in coming months.
Up to this point, many people incorrectly used and "rounded out" the heads of their M1.6 Pozi Drive fasteners with a standard Philips Screwdriver. This will be near impossible with the new T7 fasteners. Six lobe TORX (T7) Screwdrivers are inexpensive and available on-line everywhere!

Just 'cause i could, and like the feel of it, after my first Hohner with the TORX T7 I bought one of the Wiha ones. Also have differen sizes of Pozis in my harp kit. Plus the traditional Lee Oskar tools with the Phillips.
BUT: Before any of you spend any $$ on a new tool, be sure to check any multi-bit set anyone in your extended family may have given you for Christmas, or a birthday, or that you might have picked up. E.g., the kind of little multi-bit sets you find in the check-out aisle of any Ace Hardware, Lowe's, or Home Depot, and always throw into your basket (along with one of the candy bars, mini-flashlights or Slim-Jims in the same rack). After updating my harp repair kit, I rummaged through the tool drawers in my garage, and of course found one of those sets, with not only Phillips, but also TORX and Pozis, in all of my harp sizes.
So I can repair my harps either in my music room, or in my garage!

Also found in the tool drawer, a nifty Torx folding set. Except that the smallest size is T10. Used it for a bicycle roof rack I no longer have, for a car that was four cars ago. I'll either post on eBay, or find a giant harmonica for which I can use it!
Left Screwdriver is the TORX (Wiha 267 | T7 x 40) Six Lobe
Right Screwdriver is the POZI (Wiha 262 | PZ1 x 60)
Notice on the POZI Screwdriver, the triangular shaped blades spaced between the four blades of a classic Philips Screwdriver. It is designed to “nest” (hold) the Hohner POZI screw heads perfectly straight.
If Philips screwdrivers are used with POZI screws, you will eventually round out (strip) the screw heads. Hey, we’ve all done it!
