About the 1 hole tongue block, tongue switching

Can you do it all the time? Like on the turn-around -2 -2" -1 -1 it seems counterintuitive

I have trouble switching from a technique to another. Would be better for me to stick to a method on the 1 hole

Maybe i just need more speed with the tongue

Answer

Yes, you can do it all the time, even on very fast passages. It's really your choice on the 1... it's splitting hairs really.

It took me some time to get

It took me some time to get use to it, but now I can't play it any other way. I find I get a much better tone with the tongue switch, but it has taken some time in order to get the ben down.
