Dear Instructo,

I’m an Italian and I speak English but frankly speaking I’m not able to understand 100% of  your video. My question is : I have done the exercise for the tongue blocking and during blowing I’m able to cover the holes 1-3 and produce the  4 sound but if I draw nothing sound . I breathe the air but it seem the it pass about the Harmonica.  Where is the mistake?

thank you fo your help

Hello periroberto. I'm happy

Hello periroberto. I'm happy to help when you have any questions of clarity. When we blow... our mouth blow out and gets larger. When we suck, our mouth sucks in and tries to constrict (squeeze off the hole). Make sure you're using a light touch on the face of the harmonica with your lips and tongue. Smile a little bit, that helps. Most likely, your tongue is blocking too many holes, so using a lighter touch on the face of the harmonica will stop the tongue from covering so many holes.

My pleasure.

Yes, the harmonica is a great musical instrument, I agree!

Most players use their ears... listening many times, and trying to copy.

If you have a smart phone you can download a metronome app and just always practice with that on. Or buy a real metronome. :)
