Hi all.

Does anyone know where I can buy a tongue block trainer in the UK? I would have liked to get hold of a Filisko one but shipping costs from the US make it very expensive. I know that Joe has instructions on his website for making your own tongue block trainer but I would prefer a pre-made one.

Thanks, Mark.

Let everyone know if you can't find one. I have one I haven't used in years. The kids and grandkids are headed to the UK in December, and if yoiu haven't found one by then, I'll sanitize mine, send it over with them, and they can mail it in-country.

Ahh...thanks Rob. I hope I will have one by December. I'm also thinking of downloading the software so that I get one 3D printed. Never done this before but I think it might be an interesting process.

DIY TBT

I made my own several years ago from piece of a plastic milk jug when I first started at bluesharmonica.com:

- Using the side of a lead pencil I made a "rubbing" of my harmonica holes as a template

- Using an awl I punched holes in the corners of template holes to transfer the outline to plastic

- Used a razor knife (X-Acto) and straight-edge to cut out the square holes

- Trimmed the plastic and folded it across a straight edge to form and fit it as needed

Took maybe an hour, tops. It worked well.

Just a thought.

Thanks John. It looks like you did what I will probably do next, that is create a TBT out of a large (empty) plastic milk container. I have downloaded the template to make one from Joe Filisko's website.

I did a quick bit of research into acquiring the computer code to get a TBT made using a 3D printer, but there wasn't a design out there that I liked.
