Good morning David.  On the first bar of Feelin with the Blues, should my tremelo be "non-stop"?  Or after my dip, do I stop the tremelo?

Same question applies in other places like Chorus 1, 6th bar.  Do I continue the tremelo all the way through the bar or stop before the bend.  Difficult to do the bend and tremelo at the same time.  But if that's what I'm supposed to be working on, I'd like to know so I can.  Thanks

Answer

Hello brittleonard. The first happening on that bar is a 3 draw dip. After that dip perform your tremolo on that 3 draw. On beat four of that bar there's a 3'... when you perform this bend you stop your tremolo. When you go to the 4 draw of bar two, start your tremolo again. So, when you're in the act of bending, especially quickly like in this case, the tremolo stops and then restarts when you're done with the bend. Down the road you'll hold your bends for many beats, and at that time we'll explore adding tremolo to that as well.
