Hi Skip, around 1969, my Father built from used parts he had purchased from the Flea Market, a Bass amplifier head for my Brother (which apparently still works). The name on the plate reads “THOROSON”
My Brother and I would love to learn about the history of the Thoroson amplifier. Can you offer us any information?

Ah so! I will inform my brother of this new found knowledge of his Thordarson amp. In fact, I'm thinking of sneaking into his storage area and "borrow" it for my harp playing ;o)

Hello Kinya, thanks for writing. If you look a little closer you will see that it actually says "Thordarson." They were a huge transformer company and also made some PA and hi-fi amps. What you have is a 10 watt mono hi-fi amp from the late-forties/early fifties. Very cool!
