I just wanted to extend my gratitude for the resources you provide. It has been difficult for me to grasp how to "jam" without having large repertoire of licks memorized and even though I am very comfortable in second position I am not fluent enough to come up with stuff on the fly using the different scales available (at least with any reasonable speed).

However............after watching Gary Smith and then the time you took to provide transcriptions, everything clicked. It does not have to be complicated to jam. Gary demonstrated how you can take one or two licks, and properly placed, make it really support the entire piece very nicely. A relatively new player can sound like a real pro with this one demonstration.

In 11 minutes you provided just what I needed to take my playing to the next level and have loads of fun with what I already know!

In the meantime, you have taken blues harmonica education to a level of dignity and understanding that has never been done before. This forum for teaching and how it's presented is truly an outstanding achievement and demonstrates you sincerity and passion for helping others.
