Texas Harmonica Festival - July 30 2011

Looks like a fun event with both instruction and live bands. I am signed up. Shame it so close to SPAH, I only have so many leave town cards to play. This event is in Houston, learn more and register here:
This event was a success. Around 60 harp enthusiast attended, filling every seat for the Dan Electro's Guitar Bar. Beginning, intermediate, and Amp/mike sessions were held followed by an opportunity for everyone to play on stage with a live blues band. Sonny Boy Terry lead the beginners session, and Ronnie Shellist lead the intermediate/advanced session. Shellist pretty much left everyone's mouth a gap with his playing and had an excellent instructional skills. The meeting continued to 1 am with several blues bands and harp leads playing. In attendance were many brand new harp players and at least 1/5 that advanced playing skills. I met lots of new friends and spread the word about the great curriculum here at Bluesharmonica.com
