TB4 - Octave Slapping

Hi,

I started looking at TB4, and slaps are no longer notated, but we are expected to generously slap notes without notation.Does this include octaves, or should octaves slapped less often, or never?

 

I would tend to slap at least the octaves in the middle of the pulls.

Hello Cornelius. If you're looking for more of a horn-like effect, then no slaps. Otherwise, slap it if you like the sound. I agree... around pulls it would make sense to throw in slaps.
