Hello Mr Bourgeois. The word

Hello Mr Bourgeois. The word syncopation is used to describe playing that is mostly on the upbeat. Take a look and listen to Bending Study 3, the study song "The Strut." Chorus 2 you'll notice most of the 1 draws are on the upbeat. You would call those 1 draws syncopated.
