David,

I started off with an MS C Hohner blues harp and now am on a A Marine Band harp, for several reasons, but mostly because you reccommended it. Anyway, I have noticed that the A is smaller and then the C is and I am getting a lot of air coming out of the A.

First is that normal and are there any tips that you have to stop that airy sound?

Second, would it be easier to go back to the C and perfect that before trying to perfect the A? I just think that working with the A is going to be easier going forward for your lessons. I have to do less searching thoughout the website.

I am not complaining, I am loving learning, it is getting a little frustrating but I am getting through it.

Thanks for your feedback.

Hello danpatti. What you're

Hello danpatti. What you're feeling is not a product of the size of the harmonica, but of the lower-keyed tuning of the A harmonica. This is normal, and will take some time to get used to. I recommend you continue your studies with the A harmonica and the issues you're now feeling will dissipate over time.

Thanks

Thanks, It was hard to describe. It seems that it is harder to blow through then the C and am getting more air coming out of it before the sound. It makes total sense and I am glad that you understood what I was saying.

I will be sticking with the A.

Thanks again.

My pleasure... It can be hard

My pleasure... It can be hard to describe the feeling of what's happening in the harmonica/mouth.

Your right

I am learning how to work through those issues. I think it boils down to one note at a time. Then coming back to that note and doing it again. Trying to remember were everything was. I do appreciate you getting back to me.

BTW, You can call me Dan.

Have a wonderful Weekend.
