Im a level 4 player and have always bought Special 20s.  My lastest harp is a Bb Suzuki Bluesmaster.   I find it much easier to bend than my Hohners.  Is that about Suzuki or is it being a Bb that makes it easier.  I now have c, a, d, g, d.

I am in hte 4th level now too

I am in hte 4th level now too and I used Suzuki Bluesmaster when I started with bending about half year ago. It was easier for me back than. Now I play on Hohner Rocket, Special 20, Marine Band Classic and Suzui Manji and all those harps seem to be about the same to me regarding the bending.

Differences melt away with experience

When you first start to bend, each bend in each hole in each key of each model of harmoncia seems really different.

As you gain experience and ability, the differences start to melt away.

True, cheap, leaky, badly set up harps may be harder to play in general and to bend in particular.

Different models of good harps will have a different overall feel, and some will bend better with reedwork, especially on the more challenging holes like Draw 3 and Blow 10.

But in general, mainstram models will not be significanly different in bending ease.
