Hi David,

So when you really want to dig in and study an artist what do you do? I assume listen to their music a bunch, learn their songs, harvest licks, maybe even read up on some their history. Is there more too it than that?

Answer

Nope, you got it just right. It's common for us to spend a year on a given artist. It seems like this is your Little Walter year... do everything you can of his.

P.S., I did an interview with Scott Dirks, he had some cool things to say about Walter. I look forward to editing that footage.
