Hi Dave
With your knowledge of amps that are out there today I was wondering if you had any suggestions of a amp that would be harp friendly but could fit into a backpack. In a perfect world it would have the ability to run off a battery for some of the time.I don't think I would need any more than a 5 watt amp. I have been going to a place here in Little Rock called the river market and playing. I usually play with this old man from Helena he's a trip to play with being from the old delta. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I don't have much experience with this... asking in the Modern Blues Harmonica forum (Adam Gussow's site) would yield better answers. The Pig Nose amplifier is battery powered, and sounds pretty cool (very distorted). Another way to go is to use a portable, battery-powered public address system, and get a pedal(s) from Lone Wolf to change the sound. Just some thoughts. Ask Adam, he has been doing this for years.
