Hello David, such a great site! I’m really enjoying it! Is there a rule concerning holding your nose while bending. I noticed that Filisco Has a nose push technique in the Fox Chase. I noticed I seem to be able to draw Lower notes if I’m not breathing through my nose while bending. Are there any general rules for this? Thanks so much, Alan

Hello Alan. I'm glad to hear

Hello Alan.

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the site.

Great question.

Keep your nose closed as a general rule... opening it when you need to get rid of air (commonly while playing a blow note... we commonly use a LOT of draws, so we need to get rid of air as we play our blow notes).

I have a basic lesson on this here https://www.bluesharmonica.com/faq, clicking on "I run out of breath so easily!"
