Hello Moran. Send in your

Hello Moran.

Send in your recording so I can give you tips.

Generally speaking, use of dynamics (changing of volume while you play) and tremolo are the largest factors in sounding smooth.

Some players find it easier to start a tremolo quickly by starting with an articulation, commonly "K." Start that 3 draw with a K and see if it helps. Otherwise, it's just practice... you'll get it within time.

Student Videos

Moran,

If you haven't watched the student videos with Hob or Sharron in the Contributors section of the website you should check them out.  I found these videos extreamly helpful and you will get a feel for what David looks for when you submit your study song.  David provides helpful tips to Sharron and Hob that I don't think are in the Level 1 lessons.

While my submissions are no where near good I found that once I learned the song and patterns I began to relax and things started sounding much better.
