I'm having trouble getting through that series of pulls in the IV Ex 1.8 without running out of breath. Instead of pulling, I'm "pushing." Am I doing this correctly?

Answer

That's correct. The "Pull" technique is performed the same... e.i. the movement of the tongue and such... whether you blow or draw. Note that in the video lesson I state that if you're between blow single notes, as with this passage, you should perform a blow pull. So yes, you're in the right track.
