Hi David, just I quick one: in solo harmonica study 2, exercise 1.4, is it acceptable to use 2 draw where you have tabled 3 blow as I'm finding it helps with my triplet runs? Just wanted to check if there was a technique reason for me to use the 3 blow?

Cheers!

Will

Answer

Sure, it makes perfect sense here to use the 2 draw. In some licks it's more obvious why 3+ is used, like 2 4+ 3+ 3 2, the 3+ slides nicely from the 4+ and avoids a jump. In this case, newer players find it easier to play the 3+ in their first six months.
