Solo Harmonica Study 1 - Ex 1.12/Bass Lines

Do I need to get all the Solo Study 1 exercises in reasonable shape before moving into Level 2 material? I'm having trouble with 1.12 and the pulls on the bass lines. I notice there you mention the Level 4 song Gary's Blues, so I'm wondering if this isn't more of a cyclic thing, where some of this will work better as I acquire technique down the road.

You're correct, the technique of the pull is "officially" taught in Tongue Block Study 3. You're sure welcome, and it's a good idea, to work on the bass lines with the pulls now, but if you're thinking of doing LOA, it's no required until much later. There are no bends in those exercises, so this is actually a good place to study slaps and pulls. Solo Harmonica Study 1 and Study 2 are the same material, with the addition of the other chords in the 12 Bar Blues, so you can jump into Study 2 at any time.
