David,

I play the Hohner Marineband Deluxe Harmonicas. I believe they have the wood comb(pearwood) which is treated(sealed) to reduce swelling. Would you recommend soaking in a glass of water for cleaning purposes even for a very short time, say less than a minute perhaps, to help with cleaning process or since it is a wood comb, you would NOT put harmonica in water at all? Thx JT

Hello JT. Soaking is not a good idea, but dipping the harp for a minute won't hurt it. I don't clean my harmonicas unless a reed is stuck, so don't assume harmonicas need to be cleaned more than wiping the outside unless you have an issue.
