Love this song, but no jam track available.  Problem solved with Audacity.   I was able to remove the harmonica and keep most of the remaining sound by splitting the stereo track, inverting one of them, and then recombining.  Not perfect, but pretty good.

I'm curious why you would do

I'm curious why you would do that. Were you recording it? I'd play along with the original harmonica, or find a jam track in the same key. But that's just me.

I play in a cover band, and my problem has been isolating the harmonica (and saxophone). Folks used to hack into the tracks used to create the Rock Band video game and post the separate instrumental tracks (MOGG tracks) online. The game developers got them from the studios. Super helpful to me when learning Roadhouse Blues by ear. I started learning the harmonica part for Heart of Rock & Roll; the album version has a pretty extended harmonica solo at the end. But, I couldn't figure out how to switch between sax and harmonica fast enough and just dropped the harmonica part. Probably not any MOGG files for Chicago blues floating around. "Classic rock" songs (the ones I listed, What I Like About You, etc.) can be found.

Thanks for the tip

rvenetucci,

Thanks for the tip.  I would not have thought to do what you did.
