Sjöberg Harp Tuner?
Once again your exemplery videos have inspirid me to explore new realms in my harpin' experience. :)
I would like your honest opinion of the Sjoberg tuner. I know there are several models. Which one did you demo and use?
After watching your series of videos my interest and curiosity about the device was piqued. I would be using it primarily on my Hohner Special 20s as well as some Bluesbands (just to practice on). I also have a few Suzuki Manjis but they are not my main stays like the 20s.
I (strive to) play rhythm and lead blues on the harp. Recently it dawned on me that the harmonica seemed like a great way to add to my resonator/bass/percussion performance tracks. Ive been taking intense lessons for 2 months and am having a wonderful time in the learning process. The harping community has been a real asset in my learning experience.

My needs are fairly simple since I am doing this as a music lover that wants to maximize the performance of my own harps. And I love learning how to use new efficient tools.
I spoke to John and he has some devices available for $299 (original version?) . I just want to make sure Im not buying something I might get buyers remorse about later. I did see in his upgrade video that he mentions he is replacing the hose due to " some difficulty with the corrigated tubing" and is also replacing the mat due to "the sealing capacity of the silicone mat is much more tighter then the wood or hard rubber mats". Of course this does raise some concern. And, honestly, Im also concerned that I will have a great 2-3 weeks learning and using the table on my small bunch of harps, and then not use it again for years.
I appreciate your thoughts on this.
Tom
Hey Tom, John's lineup of harp tuners are extrodinary and superior to the original that I bought from Dick. So when you find yourself getting frustrated with the "working under the hood" approach to harmonica tuning--don't hesitate to invest in a Master Harp Harp Tuner. You won't be disappointed.

Copy that Tom.

After thinking long and hard about this purchase, Ive decided it would be overkill for my limited tuning needs.
