Hi David

In Solo Harmonica Study 1 when practicing should I use a metronome? to help my timing ? It would be good to know what to set the metronome to all the study examples .

Thanks

Answer

Using a metronome is a great idea! Watch the video on the Equipment part of the site. Having the metronome change it's click on the downbeat of each measure will be very helpful. The tempo is up to you. Start as slowly as you can play accurately, then speed up incrementally until you're at a tempo that sounds good to you.
