David Barrett's "n Memory"

Fell in love with this song from the "It Takes Three" CD the first time I heard it. I wanted to learnit and asked three of my jam friends if they would play the backing. One of them has a studio and so away we went. It was an interesting experience doing this from memory, in a studio with the bass and guitar in one room, percussion in another and me in a little foyer with a click track (that was a little disconcerting but they said it was needed for everyone to be on the beat). Played acoustically into a vocal mic.

One Chord stuff

I'm fascinated with playing one chord songs with a different groove. I get hit with it once in a while at our Sunday jams and thoght I'd try to work out something different. Main focus here was to keep the timing for this groove and work on textures to keep it interesting. A partial succes (I think) but timing is rough in a couple of places - old bug bear, playing ahead of the beat. I'll be curious to get some reactions and feedback. Thanks

I just wanna...

...make love to you!

Listening to Mud Morganfield's "For Pops" album featuring Kim Wilson the other day and decided that this would be a great song to cover! My chromatic playing is a work in progress but always great fun! The opening phrase of the (very short!) solo is inspired by Kim's playing on the referenced track but I think the overall treatment has enough of our own flavour. We are going to try it next week at a couple of local gigs- comments welcome please!

This is my performance of James Harman's song "Skeet-a-Little Taste". I appreciate all your comments. If you find some mistakes - please let me know. Here the greatest challenge for me was to hit full bends 2" at Low F harmonica. Also many thanks to Luckyharp for creating a backtrack of this song and sharing it with me :-)
