"Easy" Harmonica Harmonies in 'E'

Posted Sat, 11/25/2023 - 07:39 by DaveKay

This song is posted in response to a question I asked David about on the forum under the same title. The link to that forum post is below. I used the "Buffet Line" backing track to do this recording. I started with "Temperature", but I found it a bit too slow, so I switched to "Buffet Line". I used 3 (overdub) tracks to do the harmonica harmonies. I used an 'A' harp for all 3 tracks. One track was the "regular" notes, one track went a hole higher than regular and the last track went a hole lower than regular. It sounds like nice harmonies for the most part. continue reading...

Smooth Jazz in C major - no blues, sorry;-)

Hello everyone, I thought the following improvisation might be interesting because it is something other than blues. "SmoothJazz", you could also call it boring elevator music. But if you want to relax, it might help.I played with a low f. The whole thing was recorded with garage band on my iphone.

Sleep well ;-)

Hello BluesHarmonica.com!

I am brand new to the site. I have been a (virtual) student of David Barrett's for nearly 25 years via his excellent books and other publications. I thought I would introduce myself by sharing one of my favorite songs that I played with the band. This is a cover of Rod Piazza's song "Little Bitty Pretty One / Rockin' Robin" from his Harp Burn CD. continue reading...

Hello Community,

This is the classic play of The House of the Rising Sun.

I already wanted to play it a long time ago. I had to pratice for a while in minor scale to get this.

This is fully improvised with some errors. I uploaded because normally I practice without amp.

Guitar Am, Harmonica Dm. British Laney double speakered valved amp without any mod.

Valved amped backing track, Bullet practicing mic. Mobile recording in my room,

Backing track is not Copyrighted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nngof8rMs68

Hello Community,

I asked one of my friend to create me in good quality the backing track of B.B. King's The Thrill is Gone...

I wanted to learn the basics of BB's on harmonica. After half a year practice this is it.

It is not too long but not simple at all...

And I utilized the knowledge of minor blues...
