This is the 1st song I attempted to learn when I was a beginner. I got about 1/2 thru the song but put it on the shelf because I couldn't play it clean and in time. About a month ago I decided it was time to learn the tune in it's entirety. I'm still not completely happy with how clean the IV Chord triplets are, but it's getting there. :-)

To show you a difference in my development I share my first-ever backtrack recording using a Hohner Rocket C harmonica.

It is interesting because I sent it to Mr. Ronnie Shellist who wrote me a few building criticism.

"Sounds to me like you are trying to feel your way around the instrument for now. Focus on opening up your breathing and holding notes and creating good tone!"

The date was 11.11.2015.

So do not give up learning :-)

 

First-ever I Touched The Jazz - Impro

Yesterday in the evening I first-ever touched the jazz. I used a Smooth Jazz Ab minor backtrack which was rather long enough to get familiar with and catch the feeling (7 min 26 sec). I uploaded only the last 2:18 of my trial recording.
