Jam session in a Hall Amplified Gigin'

Hello All,

I had an opportunity to play in a hall amplified gigin' at Saturday in the evening. It is turned to a jam finally which I enjoyed very much. We changed between melody and rhythm during the performance. It is a real free feeling of playing harmonica in a Jam session in front of an audience.

At the www.bluesharmonica.com  I can continuously develope my knowledge to be better and better in every aspects of harmonica and related tasks. I share you two view and two soundings as an experience.

Auditorium view with Hall soundings Stage close-up with close to stage soundings

Soundings on the stage is always completely else than in the auditorium. Feedback can be occured due to the control speakers (in case of Hall Amplified), mic and your combo amps' interferences and by the others' devices. It is the best to turn on tubed amp's long before the gigin', leave it on and main off, because tubes are changing during the warming phase. Then set the soundings and volumes. It is needed some practice regarding settings to have a trouble-free performance. I usually experiment at home before the giging to recognize the best settings of my amp and mic without feedback and too much distorsion.

I am very glad to have my first on the stage JAM with the help of David Barrett and his School.

Thank You!

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your remarks! This is one of my main focus. Timing,  creating variations and stay in rhythm.

David had a remarkable note at my last qualification: daily practice develops timing. So did I.

Practicing with various style and bpm of backtrack or metronome are both good.

Do it daily base. That is important. And everything else....too.

great timing
