and you made easy work of the tricky 5th chorus.... well done. i guess you hit the nail on the head when you intimated how we use differing pieces of music to benchmark development..... for me this is one such track that needs to revisited every now and then. Enjoy!

I like the idea of this track

I like the idea of this track and I agree with Rob all you need is play this through an amp! Great track!

Nice work!

Technique is sound enough for me! In terms of dynamics I reckon that all you need to do is play this through an amp and you would really bring the track to life, giving it a cool horn/ trumpet sound to bring the best out of those bends.

Tough one but .....

Yeah, this was tough one to get a handle on. I thought you did really well with it; bends are solid. Dynamics are something we can all work on but for me that takes mastery of a song so I can then think about the dynamics. Before that, I'm still on the notes and flow. To these ears with this take, you are ready to think about dynamics - you have this one down. Love how you handled that closing!

One thing I find helps me is to write over the music where I want to play softly, louder, emphasize a passage or put in dynamics. I also will use a highlighter to mark up notes where David has put in accents or where I feel I want to put in certain emphasis. It helps remind me where to do what until it becomes 'automatic'.

man that's a tuff song to

man that's a tuff song to play and I think you did pretty good, you timing was right on and good intonation / attack. I though it sounded fine. Remember we are our own worst critics!
