Hello David and Schoolmates,

I have been learning the half stepping for more than half a year. It is forming slowly.

So the other task is the rhythm and improvisation which I chose to deal with. I selected a Blues F backtrack for improvising. The main objective was to stay in rhythm and play as variable as I can. I was also wonder while the half stepping influences my improvisation or not.

I used my Masco Map 18 amp, a JBL Blutooth speaker for play the backtrack and a mobile for recording of my noise in my room.

That is the result.

Note: I practice every day minimum for an hour.

I always try to use the backtrack to give me ideas to be more  variable and interesting. Let the drums to be in solo, let the guitar to be in solo, let myself to be in solo. If I am silent or play it has also a role. Ideas come from each other. One kind of finish is a new begining. So variable finish helps to create new idea in the next bar cycle. We have to begin on different holes to make it variable as it is taught by David's lessons. It is only available for us if we practice a lot.

The first 1-3 bar cycle is about warming up. Get used to the backtrack. Then I realize the possible playground that I can utilize from the backtrack. It is somehow automatic after a while. We have to learn lot of rhythmic samples and licks to make it variable and combine it according to the backtrack style. So learning and practicing is very important.

Without the school it would not work.
