I like the techniques you are using in this song. Slaps and shakes are well placed and really compliment the vocals and the bass.  I would lead the audience in applause when you perform it

John

Thanks John, much

Very kind words Barney- It's not particularly technical but the vibe is there eh!

Too Cool

I've been in a funk lately and this has inspired me. I really like the approach you took her - tastey playing and cool lyrics/vocals. Thanks

Thanks Hank!

I'm glad you liked it. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound we got and it's really got me thinking about more doing acoustic stuff, especially after watching the recent Grant Dermody interview on the site!

That's nice and I like it

That's nice and I like it alot! I don't hear often that someone played this cool classic song! Your small band have unique and interesting approach to it (btw I did not hear Buddy's and Junor's version :( :) ). I also might say that you played a very tasty sounding solo with main melody line!

Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks for the compliment! It's definitely a case of less is more for this one. Plenty of space and room for subtle dynamics. The bass player has a lot of talent and we plan on doing stuff with him on lap steel and ukelele too!

foot pedal

The bass player has 2 foot pedals, each with a load of different settings/ sounds. He is tapping a drum beat with one foot and the tambourine sound with the other. They are extra cool!

Nice!I listened to this

Nice!

I listened to this three times, well played and nice overall feeling. I like this minimal band type music :)

Edit...after another listening this evening, very nice the foot pedal! Who's playing the I don't know how to call it tamburine ?
