I have listened that Mark Hummel in his instructional video says that Big Walter did never shake his head in order to do a trill.

Is this right?

If this is right Which technique did he use? Just the hands?

Answer

He was speaking of Little Walter. The right way... for this technique... is to do what works for you... head only... hands only... or a little bit of both... again, whichever works for you.

Sure it had to be Little

Sure it had to be Little Walter.
Big is named "shakey" for something.

Thanks David.
