Shaker Dynamic Handmade Harmonica Mic 1/4" Jack
Can anybody provide any feeback on the Shaker Dynamic Handmade Harmonica Mic 1/4" Jack?
David's mic reviews are at https://www.bluesharmonica.com/mic_reviews He's not really taken with the Shaker Dynamic, and having owned one myself for a number of years, I know why.
The Shaker Dynamic is comfortable, but I bought it as a first mic when the low price attracted me. It doesn't have the output you might want (it's a lo-Z wired as a hi-Z), and I ended up buying a Rapco Horizon cable and a lo-Z-hi-Z converter to plug it into an amp (e.g., the XLR receptical on the end of the Rapco Horizon cable plugs into an XLR/1/4" impedence converter, then into an amp). By the time you add that sort of cable and converter, or other conversion system, the price is no longer that low. My current go-to mic is a Blows Me Away Ultimate 57 w/ Bullitizer collar. More costly, but also one heck of a better mic for my purposes. BUT: For gigs, I always throw the Shaker and cable into my kit, just on the off chance that during a show someone runs a bulldozer over my Ultimate 57. Bottom line: David's mic reviews are detailed, informative, and cover a wide range of mics. In the end, the Shaker Dynamic might end up being just the mic for you, but enjoy doing some research before you purchase one.

Have you tried going to the "Equipment" section on this site for some insight?
Dave did "Mic Reviews" there.
He reviews both the "Shaker Dynamic" and the "Shaker Retro Rocket"
