Hi Winnslow. I'm hoping you can point me to a web site that will help me. I'm cleaning the slide assimly on my Saxony (which I love) but in reaasembly, I'm finding that I must be missong the proper way to reassemble the three pieces. I've been careful wiith the spring and screw sleeves, but its almost like I'm not able to fit the middle plate into the bottom plate properly and as a result when I place the slider on (being careful to get the spring into the hole) and then screw on the mouthpiece, the slide sticks but as I ease off the mouthpiece, the slider wil move.

I cannot find a set of photos or assembly instructions anywhere and after doing many searches here, the Seydel site and Google, I'm turning to you. Any help??

Thanks

October 2009 Article

Winslow, I hope I found my answer in your October 2009 Mel Bay Newsletter - if I'm understanding it correctly you describe the order as:

"One side of the I-beam helps clamp the front of the comb to the reedplates. The other side creates a channel for the slide to travel in. The flat front pate rests on top of the slide and I-beam, with the mouthpiece on top of the entire assembly"

Am I correct then in assuming the "Sandwich is formed by the I Beam and flat front plate with the slider as the 'meat' in between???
