Hi David,

Just a thought, but would you think it a good idea if we had a search engine on this site, then we could input a question relative to this site and hopefully get an answer, although I'm not technically mined I dont know hard difficult this would be.

On the same theme, for the section re New lessons, do you think it would be a good idea to put the lessons in order from level one through 10, again to make lessons easier to find and not inadvertantly miss anything.

Just a couple of suggestions, I hope you dont mind.

Thankyou and kind regards

Paul

Hello Paul. We're not able

Hello Paul.

We're not able to put a search function on the current site, but we're in the process of a site redesign, and the search function will be in there.

The New Lessons tab I prefer the way it is, showing in order the newest lessons. If a student wants to find a lesson within a level they can click on Lessons in the navigation at the top of the page and see the default "Lessons: By Skill Level" or click on "View Alphabetically" if they prefer that organization type.

Thank you for the suggestions, they're always welcome.

Thank you, BTW the rock harmonica book that I purchased is just what I was looking for. A definite read for all harmonica rock fans and can be used in conjunction with the site. So just one question regarding rock, should I learn the licks from all the study songs, but not spend so much time learning the V IV I's. Lastly can you recommend listening to any interviews whereby the guest improvises rock music

Once again, thank you,

regards,

Paul

Search engines

Paul, while it is not perfect most search engines can search the public areas of bluseharmonica.com such as the forum.  Just add bluesharmonica.com to your search query and it will put results found from this site at the top of the list.  I've found this methoid helpful wihen looking to see what has already be asked before I post.  Most of the time it works.

Great, I'm glad to hear that

Great, I'm glad to hear that Paul.

The 12 Bar Blues progression is used in rock as well, so you'll not want to ignore those licks, but you're right, they're not going to be a big focus.

The only interview that comes to mind is Jason Ricci's... his playing is the most applicable to rock. He doesn't jam in a rock style, but what he brings up in the interview (especially about scales) is good for you to check out.
