Kinya:

With apologies if you have a post somewhere here with all of this info, but your mention in the thread about swapping Hohner cover plates re being sure to use a 262/PZ 1x60 Pozidriv screwdriver for Crossover cover plate screws raises this question. Do you have a chart available for the best screwdriver size for various cover plate screws?  From my own collection I'm most curioue about:

Marine Band Deluxe (flat blade)

Special 20 (also flat blade)

Suzuki Olive

Seydel Session/Session Steel, and even:

Lee Oskar (I have a Phillips that works on guitar and banjo tuners that seems to fit better than the Phillips that comes with Lee's tool kit).

Thanks!

Hey Rob, I would also add the Wiha 262/PZ0 x 50 to your inventory of harmonica tools.

Thanks!

Picked up both sizes of Wiha pozidrivs. The smaller one is a nice solid fit for both Seydel and Suzuki. Thanks again, Kinya.

I've heard that Seydel is

I've heard that Seydel is transitioning away from posidrive to a more conventional Philips head.  I believe Greg mentioned it in a video of his a while back. I'll have to find a reference for that...

I'm still shocked Hohner is still using slotted screws for some covers like the special 20 and Golden Melody. But then again, they still use nails on the marine band, so I guess it's an in distance in tradition or something.

In either case, a well stocked screwdriver drawer is an important part of any bench! :)

If I ever design a Canadian made harmonica, it will be 100% Robertson screws! Lol

Evets: How could you?

Evets: Your very mention of Whitworth standards brought back fearsome memories of the very tempermental MG Midget my wife and I owned early in our marriage. It's a testament to our love for each other that the marriage survived the car.
