Been invited to play with a Doors cover band. One of their songs is the classic, "Touch Me."
The outro has that nice sax solo starting at the 2:25 mark.
I have tried to dink around with it... but no luck as of yet.
Any help?
Thanks!

Okay... after some discussion

Okay... after some discussion with the band... they want to play it in the same key as the original: Bb
I have used a Bb harp to see if I can come close to the sax. Even tried using an Eb harp in 2nd position and not much luck either.
How about an Ab harp in 3rd position? Would that be better?
Help!

Try a C harp in 5th Position

Listening to the youtube version - the first note the sax comes in on is hole 3 draw on a C harp - then you can follow the rest of the sax notes pretty much by following 5th position (Phrygian mode) on the C harp which has the root notes at 2 blow, 5 blow and then on up to 8 blow - a really nice mode and seems that most of what the sax does can be found there. This might get you out of a tight spot with the band

cheers, Phil
