Hello M.Blues. The simple

Hello M.Blues.

The simple answer is that it's always 2 draw (or it's octave equivalents... 6+ and 9+) when playing in 2nd Position.

The C Harmonica plays in the Key of G, and 2 draw is G

The D Harmonica plays in the Key of A, and 2 draw is A

This is the beauty of your study... learn your music theory on one harmonica and they directly translate to all of the others. If you figure out that your root note in 2nd Position is 2 draw on your C Harmonica in G, then it has the same relationship for all your other keys (D Harp in A, Bb Harp in F, etc... all them have the root note on the 2 draw).

E is the root note, because

E is the root note, because it's in the key of E. Look at your scale homework from Music Theory Study 1 and you'll see the 4th scale degree is A and the fifth is B (Ex. 3.5). Looking at the "Harmonica Chart [All Keys].pdf" on this page https://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/understanding_position_playing you'll see that they correspond to the same hole numbers you would play for the I, IV and V on your C Harmonica (2 draw for the I, 1+ or 4+ for the IV and 1 or 4 for the V).

 Sory Dave :) One more

 Sory Dave :)

One more Question becouse I realy trying to understand.

I dont know what is wrong with me that I can not :(

Now I understand  that the root note is E, becouse song it is in the key of E and becouse of that we play in 2. nd position key of A Harmonica.... so chord is  I. (E,G,A), IV (A,C,E), V (B,D,F).

But In this case .....if I want to (play) build cord from the E root note I must go and see on C harmonica on witch hole is the E ...? Is that right?

But it is not on the hole you told me... (2 draw for the I, 1+ or 4+ for the IV and 1 or 4 for the V).

2draw is G not E  and 1+ and 4+is C ...and 1 and 4 is D

I dont understand something but I dont know what...

No reason to say sorry, I'm

No reason to say sorry, I'm here to help.

Close on the first part... I. (E,G#,B), IV (A,C#,E), V (B,D#,F#). The Key of E is E F# G# A B C# D# E, so we need to include those sharps in there.

No, if you decide to think in the Key of E on your A Harmonica, then you must use the notes of the A Harmonica.

This places the notes on 2 3 4 (E G# B), 1+ 2+ 3+ (A C# E) and 1 2' 3" (B D# F#)

Note that in the key of G on the C Harmonica it's 2 3 4 (G B D), 1+ 2+ 3+ (C E G) and 1 2' 3" (D F# A). You end up with the same hole numbers. This is why we "think" as if we're always just playing on the C Harmonica in the Key of G... it still gets us to the correct hole numbers. The hole numbers are the key here.
