So, David...."Rocker" is an up tempo shuffle, but, what is the band doing? Is there only 2 changes from I Chord to IV Chord?

Answer

This is a standard 12 Bar Blues with a ii-V-I in place of the V-IV-I (standard in Jump & Swing Blues). The bass is playing a classic blues Root-5th, Two-beat-like bass pattern, but one note per beat. Guitar is playing a boogie bass line figure. Drummer is playing a jazz swing... 1 2&3 4&1... on the ride and using the snare (and most likely kick... can't tell on my computer speakers) for accenting. The drummer is the most important player in this song.
