You Asked For It .. Live

This is the just released CD recorded at Biscuits & Blues in San Francisco. Wondering if anyone out there has had a listen and could offer a review?

My wife was never a big blues fan but agreed to go on last fall's Blues Cruise as she thought the artists would add enough extra to make cruising palatable. Not only did I get to go on the always sold out cruise but the blues got a new fan when my wife discovered she's a blues fan down deep. In particular, Rick Estrin and the Nightcats got a new fan. CD's and t-shirts have been purchased in addition to a trip to San Jose to see Rick with David et al in San Jose.

Needless to say this CD will find it's way into my home but always interested to hear what other subscribers are listening to.

Hey Smoke, "You asked for it"

Hey Smoke,

"You asked for it" is a great record in my opinion. The nightcats are known for their tight shows and for Rick Estrin's presence and charisma, and both are captured in the recording. My favourite song on the record is My next ex-wife. Great interaction with the audience followed by a great groove and and explosive performance. Oh, and one more thing. The guitar! Kid Andersen, man. Great licks.
