Hello Mr. Harpsmith!

Today I was practicing some reed gapping. I´ve noticed that some of the reeds of my "Hohner Blues Harp" seems "flat" in relation to the cover plates. The harps are 3 or 4 years old, and I play them almost every day. It´s necessary to do some arcing from time to time??  What kind of issues can a "flat reed" cause?? Do you think that I may messed up the reed arcing during the reed gapping process?

Thank you

ooohh I´m really sorry. I

ooohh I´m really sorry. I meant the REED PLATE, or in that case, the SLOT.

And by that I mean: "if they have no arcing at all, like brand new reeds, but with a little gap between the reed and the SLOT so the reed can technically vibrate."

Thanks!!
