Recording (GarageBand for Mac)
GarageBand is an intuitive recording program that comes preinstalled on Macs. In this lesson you'll learn how to record yourself playing a study song for submission at BluesHarmonica.com. Study includes: Importing a study song jam track into GarageBand as a backing track; recording a harmonica track; editing and mixing your track; changing the length and key of a track; and exporting a track as an MP3 for submission.
This lesson is taught by fellow advanced student, Frank Rabeler (thanks Frank!). Included in the Support Material is a look at Frank's equipment (how he gets sound into the computer) and an improvised audio sample of what you can expect a GarageBand recording to sound like.
For our PC users there's a quick lesson on how to use Audacity. For a more comprehensive series on recording, after watching this lesson start with Recording Study 1 - Handheld.
This lesson is for all skill level players. No harmonica is needed for this lesson.
